AT Module #5 - Curriculum

1. What one thing did you learn, and what will you do differently as a result?
I learned a lot about assistive technology from these modules. To be honest, before these modules I didn't know that half of these technologies existed. After completing the modules I feel I have a much better understanding of what is out there to help my students. I also have a deeper understanding of what people with disabilities go through on a daily basis and how important assistive technology is in our world today.

2. Do you plan to recommend this tutorial? If so, please elaborate.
If I were to recommend this tutorial to anyone, it would probably be my co-teacher. I currently work at a school that does inclusion with all special ed students, so I have a co-teacher in my room for periods 2-4. She is a special education teacher with a supplemental in English, so she is a great help to me and the special ed students in my room. She is already very knowledgeable in her field, but I would recommend this site to her because it has some great links that might help her with lesson planning or AT products that are currently available.

3. Do you plan to read or recommend some of the Recommended Reading books or add them to your collection? Will you link our LibraryThing list to your blog?
The Recommended Reading books list is very extensive and a nice starting point for any TL who wants to add books with characters who have disabilities. I have read a few of the books on the list and enjoyed all of them. I have added the list to my LibraryThing's Interesting Libraries list for further reference.
